I was around five when it happened for the first time. My father brought home this strange looking machine that looked similar to a television. All I knew at the time was I could play hangman on this thing after I plugged in a floppy disk. My fascination with this machine grew over the years and by the time I was nine I was batch programming. I would stay up late writing little programs that would execute when the computer turned on so when my mother woke up and started the computer it would appear that everything on the hard drive was being erased. Yeah, I know it was mean, BUT FUNNY! I continued to expand my knowledge of this amazing machine, and then one day something happened. The World Wide Web entered my life and I knew from that point on that this new creation was going to be huge. Not too long after that I started dissecting the web and its elements, by the time I was thirteen I had taught myself how to create websites. I have been a victim of the web ever since.
Recently, I have decided that I would like to take this hobby of mine to the next level and make a career out of it. I enrolled at ECPI College of Technology and from there I have been able to expand my arsenal of skills to a level that I could not have even imagined 15 years ago. I feel very fortunate that the one hobby I picked up as a kid has turned into a fully functioning career that is in high demand.
